Privacy policy

The short version

Tavern is a comparison site. You can read every page on it without giving us anything. We do not ask you to register, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not sell data.

What we collect

• Standard server logs. IP address, user agent, referring page, time of request. Used for security and to understand which pages are read. Retained for a limited period and not used to build a profile of you.
• Aggregate analytics. Page views and navigation patterns, in aggregate. Not used to identify individual readers.
• What you send us. If you email the desk, we hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it.

What we do not collect

No account registration, no payment details, no identity documents, no gambling activity. We have no connection to your account at any casino and we cannot see anything inside it.

Affiliate links and third parties

Links to casinos on this site are commercial links. When you follow one, the operator or its affiliate network records the referral, usually with a cookie or a tracking parameter in the URL, so that any account you open is attributed to us. That tracking belongs to them, not to us. From the moment you leave this site, the operator's own privacy policy governs what happens to your data, and we would encourage reading it before you register.

Cookies

We use only what the site needs to function and to count page views in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and this site will still work.

Your rights

Under Canadian federal and provincial privacy law you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Write to the contact page address and we will respond. Given how little we collect, the answer is usually that we hold nothing beyond an email thread.

Children

This site is intended for adults of legal gambling age in their province. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Material changes to this policy are published here with a new date at the top.
